Job description

Are you seeking to make a difference in the lives of others?

As a companion volunteer you can enrich the lives of terminally ill patients in your community. In-person visits take place at the patient’s residence or facility where they live. Visits may involve reading a book, watching a movie, doing crafts or playing games, conversation, or simply being present with them. Hours are extremely flexible.

Become a friend/companion to a patient when they really need it most! If you have a little extra time and are looking for something rewarding to do, look no further. When assigned to a patient, we will review the details of the patient’s life before we introduce you to them and you will meet with them on a regular basis.

I am more than happy to answer any questions via email, phone or in person. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My name is Tara Van Berkom. My phone number is 947-274-7189, and my email is snona@stcroixhospice.com.
