BayCare Clinic is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Corporate Headquarters team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a detail oriented, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This position is full-time, between our core hours, Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No Holidays! No Weekends!

The Job:

  • Supports Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, O365, Azure, SQL Server, office productivity applications, and other Windows based applications.

  • Works with hardware & software virtualization, including VMWare server and Citrix Xen App for desktops and applications.

  • Guides the deployment and adoption of new and current technologies.

  • Researches and makes recommendations for purchase of new hardware/software.

  • Reviews and assures new hardware/software recommendations are compatible with current technologies in place.

  • Develops solutions to problems and assists the team in implementing the solutions.

  • Responsible for lifecycle management of infrastructure, hardware, and software components.

  • Recommends and implements system enhancements to improve the performance, reliability, and security of the computer systems.

  • Leads the Backup, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability design and processes of the computer systems.

  • Provides leadership and direction to outsourced Network Engineer vendors.

  • Reviews server configurations and documentation for accuracy, standardization, and simplicity.

  • Reviews and understands licensing contracts and ensures licensing compliance within the team.

  • Works with team members, decision-makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals and to identify and resolve business systems issues.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in computer science or networking required.
  • 5+ years of related experience is required.
  • Extensive experience and training in lieu of education will also be considered.
  • Ability to engage with outside resources/vendors and manage these resources and projects.
  • Experience supporting production servers in a virtualized environment.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, NTFS security, Group Policy, and related client management tasks.
  • Proficiency with Veeam Backup and replication or similar backup solutions
  • Proficiency with wired and wireless networking (routing, switching, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and services.
  • Proficiency with Exchange Online, Office 365, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure.
  • Proficiency in scripting Languages is a plus (PowerShell, SQL)
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload.
  • Ability to self-educate, research, and adopt new technologies.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must follow industry required compliance standards.
  • Current knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
