Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager / Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership for critical missile systems, threat analysis, modeling and simulation, and engineering efforts supporting national security missions.

The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical lead and primary technical point of contact (POC), partnering with government customers, the PMO, TPOCs, and contractor teams to define requirements, evaluate technical solutions, lead execution, and deliver mission-focused capabilities.

Technical Leadership & Engineering
  • Serve as the senior technical lead and primary POC for engineering, modeling and simulation, and technical analysis efforts.
  • Assess requirements, develop technical solutions, evaluate feasibility, and oversee technical execution.
  • Provide technical oversight for radar and missile system engineering, design, modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Define technical requirements, performance criteria, schedules, resource estimates, CDRLs, and project plans.
  • Provide technical recommendations and assessments to government customers and senior leadership.
Threat Systems & Analysis
  • Lead analysis of foreign threat systems, including theory of operations, performance, signatures, vulnerabilities, and employment.
  • Assess intelligence supporting defensive and offensive missile systems and technologies.
  • Lead Verification and Validation (V&V) of threat definitions, models, simulations, and technical products.
  • Support the design, evaluation, and assessment of threat systems and associated technologies.
Modeling & Simulation
  • Lead modeling and simulation efforts supporting missile systems, threat definitions, mission analysis, and operational scenarios.
  • Oversee the testing and evaluation of models, simulations, environmental representations, and operational scenarios.
  • Apply ITEAMS processes and TMAP digital models, simulations, and hardware representations to support threat analysis.
  • Evaluate architectures, models, and tools and recommend enhancements to meet DoD and Intelligence Community requirements.
Program Management & Team Leadership
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and multiple technical projects, managing priorities, resources, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
  • Conduct technical, schedule, budget, and resource evaluations and provide recommendations to the PMO and government customers.
  • Monitor execution, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain program objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to engineers, analysts, modelers, and other technical personnel.
  • Prepare and present technical assessments, status reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and customers.

Location: This position is fully onsite in Huntsville, AL.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 12 years' experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience providing technical leadership for complex engineering or technical programs.
  • Experience developing technical requirements, schedules, performance criteria, resource estimates, CDRLs, and project plans.
  • Experience with V&V of technical models, simulations, systems, or threat definitions.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
