Job description

THE ROLE
As the Sourcing Strategy & Process Lead, you will drive the strategic frameworks, analytics, and operational mechanisms that elevate our global sourcing capabilities. Operating as a senior strategic connector, you will partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to optimize commercial decisions, mitigate supply chain risks, and scale best-in-class procurement playbooks. While commodity managers own direct category relationships, you create the methodologies, market intelligence models, and executive decision-making tools that empower our entire organization to negotiate smarter, move faster, and build resilient long-term supplier partnerships.
WHAT YOU'll DO
  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation Frameworks: Partner with Commodity Managers and cross-functional leaders to architect multi-year category strategies, risk-evaluation frameworks, and negotiation playbooks that drive business impact across major RFQs, long-term agreements, and strategic supplier selections.
  • Process Governance & Operating Mechanisms: Own and continuously refine company-wide strategic sourcing mechanisms, establishing standardized decision frameworks, contract handoffs, and governance workflows that increase execution speed and operational rigor.
  • Analytics & Business Intelligence: Establish executive-level reporting mechanisms and financial business cases that track spend, savings, supplier concentration, and market trends to convert complex supply chain data into actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Capabilities: Lead multi-commodity strategic initiatives across Sourcing, Planning, Engineering, Legal, and Finance while coaching team members on advanced negotiation strategies, analytics, and executive communication.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Proven track record of architecting strategic sourcing frameworks, establishing procurement governance, and leading complex commercial negotiations across technology, hardware, or supply chain environments.
  • Deep expertise in supplier management, contract structures, total cost modeling, supply chain risk analysis, and sourcing economics.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership, align cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations), and drive complex organizational initiatives without direct authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in translating complex market intelligence and data into executive-level reporting, financial business cases, and strategic recommendations.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
