About the Role 

We are looking for several Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) consultants to support the delivery of upcoming largescale projects.

Role and Responsibilities 
  • Own the Integration Framework: Take full responsibility for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the integration testing framework. Ensure it serves as the primary tool for validating new features and system-level interactions.
  • Bridge Development and Testing: Act as the primary liaison between the development team and manual testers. Translate manual test cases into automated scripts and provide technical guidance on testing strategy and best practices.
  • Provide Architectural Guidance: Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure new features are designed with strong testability as a core requirement. Evaluate and gate features based on the architecture's ability to support comprehensive integration testing.
  • Maintain Feature Awareness: Develop and sustain deep knowledge of upcoming features and ongoing development initiatives, enabling proactive design and preparation of the required testing infrastructure.
  • Lead Test Implementation and Management: Manage the integration test backlog and actively contribute hands-on by writing, executing, and debugging test cases. Oversee the rollout and adoption of the testing framework across the team, including manual testers.
Qualifications and Experience 

Required qualifications 

  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in automated testing of React applications, including component, integration, and endtoend testing.
  • Apply advanced TypeScript expertise and modern testing methodologies such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, and TDD.
  • Exhibit strong capability in testing applications deployed within AWS cloud environments.
  • Ensure rigorous validation of GraphQL APIs and schema contracts.
  • Deliver highquality testing for microservices built with ExpressJS, AWS Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Leverage hands-on experience with state management libraries such as Redux and Zustand.
  • Bring proven experience collaborating within distributed, crossfunctional Agile teams and using JIRA.
  • Implement robust quality gates within CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
  • Utilize monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk) to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Show strong verbal and written communication skills in client-facing environments.
Compensation (Ontario)

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, location, and relevant certifications. Final compensation will be determined according to the specific circumstances of each candidate. 

Estimated salary range: $90,000 to $125,000 per year.
