What You'll Do

Build and Grow Client Relationships

  • Manage and expand a portfolio of strategic commercial banking clients.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers.
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences by understanding client objectives and recommending tailored financial solutions.
  • Identify and capture share-of-wallet opportunities across lending, cash management, treasury, investment, and other banking services.

Drive Business Development

  • Proactively source new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute market growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive insights to identify emerging opportunities and accelerate portfolio growth.
  • Represent the bank at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and generate business opportunities.


Structure Financial Solutions

  • Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities and banking solutions that meet client needs while balancing risk and profitability.
  • Lead credit discussions, secure approvals, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Review lending and cash management agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies.
  • Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and credit assessments to support sound lending decisions.


Partner Across the Organization

  • Collaborate with product specialists, credit partners, risk teams, and senior leaders to deliver complete client solutions.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex client situations, applying strategic thinking and problem-solving to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that contribute to business strategy and portfolio performance.


Deliver Strong Portfolio Performance

  • Monitor portfolio profitability, risk profile, and return on equity performance.
  • Regularly evaluate client relationships and identify opportunities to deepen engagement and optimize returns.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, market developments, and client trends.
  • Ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management standards.

What You Bring

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, or Business Development.
  • Proven success managing complex client relationships and delivering strong sales and revenue results.
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and executing commercial lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Credit qualification requirements, where applicable.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
