We are a cleantech contractor that provides comprehensive energy efficiency services for energy service companies (ESCOs) and corporate clients. Our services are provided by six specialized units focused on weatherization, water efficiency engineering, lighting, airflow controls, HVAC, and infrastructure solutions.

Job Summary

ECM Holding Group, INC. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to over see Water Solutions projects based out of the Wichita, KS area.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and direction of assigned design and construction projects. You will ensure that all projects meet goals and objectives, staying within prescribed schedules and budgets. This role requires a high degree of judgment and autonomy. You'll function effectively with minimal supervision, taking the lead on key initiatives. A critical part of the job is building and maintaining strong relationships through both internal and external collaboration. This includes effective communication with field and technical staff, contractors, management, and other project partners and stakeholders. Essentially, you are the central point of contact, ensuring that every aspect of the project is managed with precision, from planning to execution, while fostering the teamwork necessary for success. This is a dynamic role that requires extensive travel to various job sites, often involving both driving company vehicles and air travel. Travel expected up to 80% of the time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Oversight

  • Leads the day-to-day management of projects during the construction phase.
  • Provides detailed constructability reviews of project documents and offers recommendations.
  • Advises on the development of construction procurement documents and GEC responsibilities.
  • Manages contractor requests to ensure timely responses and project continuity.
  • Assumes a lead role in dispute resolution activities on assigned projects.
  • Defines the roles and reporting structures for project team members.

Financial & Contractual Management

  • Manages project budgets efficiently and effectively.
  • Reviews, monitors, and provides recommendations on potential Change Orders, including analysis of their impact on budget and schedule.
  • Enforces contractor compliance with contract requirements for reporting, environmental regulations, scheduling, and invoicing.
  • Monitors consultant and contractor performance, reviews and approves invoices, and resolves payment disputes.

Communication & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for project-related issues and changes.
  • Represents the company in partnering sessions with contractors, agencies, and organizations to build strong working relationships.
  • Provides regular, detailed reports on project status, resource allocation, and future needs to leadership and executive staff.
  • Communicates effectively with project partners, stakeholders, and internal departments like Communications and Community Relations.
  • Advises and communicates directly with the Executive Team and Director of Engineering on all project matters.

Technical & Operational Support

  • Assists in developing project procurement documents for various delivery methods (e.g., Design/Bid/Build, Design/Build, P3).
  • Reviews project schedules and monitors construction progress to identify and address any potential impacts.
  • Coordinates construction activities with the Director of Toll Operations.
  • Participates in contractor evaluations, bid analysis reviews, and award recommendations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field.
  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
  • Valid driver licensesrequired.
  • OSHA 10, if notcertifiedmust be completed within30 daysof hire date.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external resources.
  • Self-directed and able to function with ease as part of a team.
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to focus on details as required, and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment.
  • Construction experience is desirable.
  • Innovative project delivery methodology experience
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office tools, and some knowledge of applicable project management software.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting frequently. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Standing for extended periods, up to 6 hours per day.
  • Walking, continuously.
  • Climbing ladders while carrying weight
  • Wearing personal protective gear correctly including glasses, gloves, respirator, hard hat and other PPE required.
