Job description

Senior Project Manager – Southeast Michigan

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects across Northern Michigan. This role requires someone who can manage multiple active projects, coordinate with a range of stakeholders, and take responsibility for project outcomes from start to finish.

You will be responsible for delivering projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining clear communication with clients, team members, and partners. In addition to project execution, you will work closely with the Business Development team to help identify and secure future opportunities in the region.

If you have a solid project management background, enjoy working closely with clients and teams, and are interested in helping expand our presence in Northern Michigan, we encourage you to apply.

Ideal candidates may live near Auburn Hills, Royal Oak, Detroit, Dearborn, or other surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Define and maintain detailed project scopes, schedules, work breakdown structures, and planning assumptions. Proactively manage scope, budget, and schedule adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with superintendents and the management team to allocate personnel and materials effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization to meet project goals.
  • Priority Setting: Establish and continuously adjust project priorities, reallocating resources as needed to meet critical deadlines and milestones.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and functional leads to align resources with deliverables and maintain cohesive execution.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve project performance issues promptly, removing barriers to maintain momentum and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Execution Strategy: Develop and oversee comprehensive project execution plans-including risk management, communication strategies, change control, and quality assurance.
  • Project Reviews: Conduct regular project assessments and provide timely, accurate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients, team members, and leadership to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and drive progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and process development skills, with a track record of implementing effective procedures and workflows.
  • Solid understanding of construction and engineering operations, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data automation tools, project management software, and standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, and other data management programs).
