Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in the posting location below. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their project and client management skills while providing and making a direct impact on an already established, growing organization!
Posting Location: Nashville, TN
What You'll Do:
  • Serves as project manager and/or project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects, depending on assignment.
  • Responsible for project schedules and the timely completion of projects.
  • Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.
  • Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be the Engineer of Record on some projects.
  • Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.
  • May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineers' activities.
  • Actively participates in supporting business development efforts, attends client and organizational meetings, and makes presentations in support of the client and projects.
  • Visits construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per contract documents

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program
  • 8-20 years of transportation or traffic engineering experience
  • Experience working on and with TDOT, county, and/or local agency projects/clients is preferred
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, PE
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD preferred
