We are looking to hire aย  Senior Project Controls Analyst based in our Gahanna, OH office to support our Project Controls shared services group.. This role has potential for hybrid work schedule (office/remote). Periodic local office visits and satellite office trips will be needed for training, key meetings, to establish business relationships, and manage assigned opportunities.


Role Summary

The primary functions of this position are to provide project controls support to the assigned projects and departments within the company with day-to-day work with project managers and operations leaders in the assigned areas to ensure proactive cost visibility and financial decision making.ย 


Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the process in establishing baseline scope of work, schedule and turnover of initial project budget, with contract interpretation to include capturing estimating
  • Leads the process in development of project cost coding and work breakdown structure.
  • Responsible for compiling and organizing project as-sold estimate documentation into the ERP system for scheduling and forecast analysis.ย 
  • Maintains the process, with stakeholders, to ensure budgets and change orders are allocated in the ERP system correctly.ย 
  • Monitor cost deviations, trends, and risks, escalating potential issues to project leadership.
  • Collect data to substantiate cost and causation for forensic analysis, change order requests, notification/letter writing, email responses and CO justifications.
  • Work with other business groups as required in the development and substantiation of change orders, legal claims or defense from claims.
  • Maintains the process, with stakeholders, to ensure budgets and change orders are allocated in the ERP system correctly.
  • Work alongside Accounting and Project Teams to maintain ERP contract details that supports downstream billings
  • Participate in subcontractor invoicing process and customer billing cycles
  • Participate in maintaining the risk register with project teams to identify risks, mitigate risks, and support the estimates of cost and schedule impact based on the risk probability
  • Recommends and oversees the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements as needed on unique and critical projects
  • Key contributor in development of phased revenue business projections for assigned areas and projects
  • Manage the ERP system job closure process for assigned areas and project

Qualifications
  • Experience with the use of Viewpoint Vista, Bluebeam, Trimble Materials, Trimble Pay, and other related construction applications preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred; equivalent consideration will be given to candidates with experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in project controls, often within engineering, construction, or utility sectors required
  • Understanding of construction accounting required (earned value, job cost projections, work in progress)
  • Understanding of electrical construction process preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals
  • Works efficiently under tight timeframes, responds to requests in a timely manner, and communicates effectively as a team player
  • Ability to multiโ€task in fast paced environment, including prioritizing activities, enhancing efficiencies and being organized
