Job description

VG Systems, LLC is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead and manage a large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of leadership, technical, managerial, and business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional performance on enterprise-level government programs. The Program Manager will provide direction to program staff, ensure compliance with PWS requirements, and partner closely with Government stakeholders to achieve mission success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide
    executive-level leadership and direction for contract execution to ensure mission, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
  • Oversee program operations, including resource allocation, performance management, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide management and technical teams supporting the contract.
  • Hire, develop, and retain high-performing staff; drive performance evaluations and corrective actions when needed.
  • Direct development of program deliverables, status reports, briefings, and contract artifacts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Government leadership; foster strong customer relationships.
  • Address complex challenges through strategic thinking and decisive action.
  • Ensure program activities comply with contract, regulatory, and corporate policies.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience managing Government contracts, particularly DoD programs, with substantive involvement in stakeholder engagement, PWS execution, and oversight of program teams.
  • Master's degree (MA/MS) or PhD with 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for the experience requirement.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance at time of hire with the ability to maintain eligibility.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills aligned with high-stakes DoD environments.
