Full Time Contract Position; Clarksburg, WV


Summary/Objective 

The Program Analyst will support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Section at the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, WV. The Program Analyst will work with the Senior Program Analyst and NICS personnel in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment, to provide the timely determination of a person's eligibility to possess firearms or explosives in accordance with federal law. Analyst must be willing to work multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the agency's need. Overtime and flex time may be required.


Essential Functions

  • Support analyst functions including data collection, interviewing, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measurements to support project objectives.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and review of daily transactions
  • Compare and validate transactions, provide follow-up actions as needed
  • Compile daily statistic reports and execute daily work objectives
  • Ensure accuracy of completed work and maintain a high quality and production standard
  • Conduct activities in support of project team's objectives. Work closely with Senior Analysts or Team Leads.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in analysis, customer service, administrative support, criminal justice or military intelligence
  • Possess knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address client's needs.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills, including faxing and scanning skills and Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must reside within 90 miles of client work site
  • Basic IT experience preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

  • Active Security Clearance - Secret or higher
