Summary of the role

The Product Line Manager II owns a portfolio of on-market products, driving profitable growth through increased market penetration, pricing and lifecycle management, and the development of derivative offerings. This role bridges Commercial and Operations by translating business objectives into clear product requirements and execution plans. The role also supports products and components across the market and manufacturing lifecycle, partnering cross-functionally to meet cost, quality, delivery, and customer experience expectations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owns product support throughout product lifecycle
  • Guide market growth opportunities for on market products
  • Guide aftermarket opportunities with a focus on leveraging install base
  • Coordinates the creation and distribution of product specific training content
  • Coordinates the creation and distribution of product specific advisories and communications (i.e., product advisories, product releases, technical bulletins etc.)
  • Identifies D&O within the product line and leads cross functional teams to execute
  • Supports product forecasting and stocking levels for new products with senior product manager
  • Drives and facilitates product changes and releases
  • Understands competitive landscape of product line and drives initiatives to maintain market leadership position
  • Defines value proposition and work with commercial teams to develop necessary tools for sales efficiency
  • Responsible for execution of base price setting - coordinated with pricing team and senior product line manager
  • Manages pricing and salability of assigned products and associated spare parts in SAP derivative product development (nVision) initiatives specific to product responsibilities
  • Single point of contact for products - Deliver day-to -day product support to commercial organizations worldwide.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business or engineering related field; 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong technical skill demonstrating ability to communicate product capabilities, attributes and values

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and analytics and capable of driving insight to action
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively present the organization and its products and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • Interpersonal skills to coordinate, negotiate, build consensus and resolve issues
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Combination of strong technical background and business acumen
  • Ability to work in highly technical multi-disciplinary settings
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential, PowerBI is a plus; SAP experience strongly preferred
