JOB SUMMARY:

Database Administrator

Database Administrator with Oracle Database Knowledge is a senior-level position responsible for the design, implementation, and management of DB2 and Oracle databases. This role involves overseeing the database infrastructure and ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The Level 3 DBA provides technical expertise, leads database projects and collaborates with other IT teams to deliver robust and scalable database services.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oracle & DB2 Database Management:

ยท Plan, install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Server instances and databases.

ยท Monitor database performance, resource usage, and implement optimizations for better efficiency.

Oracle Database Management:

ยท Possess in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, installation, and administration.

ยท Manage Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.

Database High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

ยท Implement and support database high availability solutions, Oracle Data Guard, or similar technologies.

ยท Develop and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and business continuity.

Database Security:

ยท Expertise in database high availability solutions for Oracle databases.

ยท Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and automation for routine tasks.
