Position Summary:

As a Sr. Truck Stop Operations Manager, you will lead all aspects of a high-volume travel center, delivering an exceptional experience for professional drivers and everyday guests alike. You will be responsible for convenience retail, gasoline and diesel fuel operations, foodservice, driver amenities, safety, financial performance, and developing a highly engaged team while living Cumberland Farms' values and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, recognizing, and holding team members accountable for performance.
2. Create an exceptional guest experience by ensuring professional drivers and retail guests receive fast, friendly, and consistent service throughout the travel center.
3. Direct the daily operation of all business areas including convenience retail, gasoline and diesel fueling, DEF, foodservice, showers, truck parking, driver amenities, and other site services.
4. Achieve financial objectives by managing sales, fuel gallons, labor, expenses, inventory, shrink, foodservice profitability, and overall operating income.
5. Ensure operational excellence by maintaining exceptional standards for cleanliness, merchandising, in-stock conditions, food quality, equipment uptime, and facility appearance both inside and outside the location.
6. Ensure compliance with all Company policies, food safety standards, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, fuel handling procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
7. Oversee preventive maintenance programs and partner with Facilities, Fuel Operations, and external vendors to ensure fuel systems, refrigeration, HVAC, foodservice equipment, truck parking, lighting, and building infrastructure remain fully operational.
8. Analyze operational performance metrics including fuel gallons, inside sales, foodservice sales, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, shrink, guest satisfaction, safety performance, and turnover to identify improvement opportunities.
9. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement while building bench strength and succession plans for future leadership positions.
10. Perform other duties as assigned at the direction of the District Manager.

District Manager, Regional Vice President, Operations leadership, Foodservice, Fuel Operations, Merchandising, Facilities, Human Resources, Finance, Asset Protection, Supply Chain, maintenance contractors, fuel carriers, commercial fleet customers, and other Company vendors.
Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Retail Management, or a related field.
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in convenience retail, truck stop, travel center, hospitality, restaurant, or other high-volume customer service operations.
Preferred Experience: Experience leading a high-volume travel center or multi-department retail operation with responsibility for fuel operations, foodservice, financial performance, and people leadership.
Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe Certification preferred. Additional food safety, environmental, or fuel-related certifications preferred where applicable.

Hours & Conditions: This position is full-time) and primarily works days, however, may at times need to work a variety of hours depending on business needs (days, nights, weekends & Holidays) 48 regular hours/ 9.6 hour work day. Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently (where applicable) and have own vehicle to do so..
Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, squat, climb, reach, grasp, work inside coolers and freezers, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions around fueling areas and truck parking facilities.
