We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Mechanical HVAC, Plumbing Design Engineer with knowledge, understanding and ability to execute the design, calculations and drawings of construction building mechanical HVAC systems for a variety of project types including but not limited to commercial, retail, restaurant, and hospitality projects.

Senior Mechanical Designer

Lead complex projects and shape innovative building systems. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you’ll oversee a team of job captains, drafters, and consultants to deliver high-quality construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and client interaction to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with project leadership to develop and execute plans.
  • Apply working knowledge of ASHRAE codes and industry standards.
  • Design and layout HVAC systems (including energy calculations) and plumbing systems (sanitary waste, venting, domestic water, natural gas).
  • Select, size, and specify HVAC and plumbing components.
  • Document designs in AutoCAD and prepare scope, concepts, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits, gather field data, and prepare reports.
  • Direct and mentor staff and consultants preparing drawings and specifications.
  • Review project status, budgets, and proactively address risks.
  • Maintain strong client, consultant, and agency relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
