Job description

Anaplan is seeking a passionate, experienced Senior Manager, Product Management to lead a team focused on the core Application Framework. This is a critical leadership role that will guide the vision and strategy for how applications are built, deployed, and upgraded on our platform.
 
You will lead a team of product managers and work directly with our platform engineering teams to analyze the needs of our application-building community, validate complex scenarios, and provide data-driven feedback that shapes the future of our platform. The ideal candidate is an expert in the EPM space and a former Anaplan model builder, ready to apply their deep domain knowledge to lead a team dedicated to empowering our builders.
Your Impact
  • Drive the Vision: Own and evangelize the product vision and strategic roadmap for the Application Framework, ensuring it aligns with the company's goals and the needs of our builder community.
  • Lead and Mentor: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and deep customer empathy.
  • Champion the Builder: Leverage your deep Anaplan model-building expertise to guide your team in validating complex scenarios, analyzing usage patterns, and ensuring new platform capabilities meet the real-world needs of our builders.
  • Execute with Excellence: Guide the team's participation in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews, ensuring engineering has a clear, data-driven understanding of the customer impact and business value of their work.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with platform engineering, UX designers, technical writers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, well-documented, and impactful platform features.
  • Communicate and Influence: Effectively communicate analytical findings, strategic priorities, and your team's roadmap to stakeholders and leadership across the organization.
Your Qualifications
  • Product Leadership Experience: 5+ years in product management with at least 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of product managers.
  • Hands-On Anaplan Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in Anaplan model building, including advanced module design, complex formula writing, and data integration. You have lived the life of a builder.
  • EPM Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) space and the challenges large organizations face.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to use data to understand usage patterns, drive decision-making, and break down complex problems.
  • Agile Proficiency: Excellent proficiency with Agile development management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A passion for the Anaplan platform, deep empathy for the model builder community, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
