Job description

As the Senior Logistics Specialist, reporting to the Logistics Manager, and part of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for Coordinating shipments, managing documentation, scheduling delivery, data management and more.

What You'll Do:

Shipment Coordination:

  • Arrange bookings with multiple freight forwarders and ocean carriers while securing space based on customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate inbound ocean shipments from Asia, and other global origins into Canada and the United States.
  • Monitor shipments from origin to final delivery, providing proactive updates on ETD, ETA, ETW, delays, and exceptions to internal stakeholders.


Documentation Management:

  • Review and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and customs related documents to ensure compliance with import regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.


Delivery Scheduling:

  • Coordinate with 3PL providers to schedule deliveries to warehouses and final destinations.
  • Resolve any scheduling conflicts or delivery issues promptly.


Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
  • Provide timely updates and address inquiries regarding shipments and deliveries.


Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, ETA ETD ETW.
  • Utilize basic Excel skills to track and analyze import data.


What You'll Bring:

Gestion de la documentation

  • Veiller au respect des exigences douanières et des autres exigences rĂ©glementaires.


Planification des livraisons

  • Coordonner les livraisons avec les fournisseurs de services logistiques tiers (3PL) afin de planifier les livraisons vers les entrepĂ´ts et les destinations finales.
  • RĂ©soudre rapidement tout conflit de planification ou problème liĂ© aux livraisons.


Communication

  • Agir Ă  titre de principal point de contact entre les Ă©quipes internes, les transitaires, les transporteurs maritimes et les fournisseurs de services logistiques tiers (3PL).
