Job Summary:
Essen Health Care is the largest privately held, multispecialty medical group in New York, providing high-quality, compassionate care. They are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee healthcare technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations while facilitating communication among stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate multiple healthcare IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports for leadership review.
• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when necessary.
• Oversee resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Support change management efforts, including training coordination and post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful system integrations and solution deployments.
• Mentor junior project coordinators and team members to build internal capacity and improve project delivery practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years in healthcare IT project coordination or project management, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana) and documentation tools (Confluence, Visio).
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for clinical, technical, and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
• PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
