Senior IT Project Manager
Contract:  12-18 months + extension
Location:  Austin, TX (ONSITE 4 days/week)

We are seeking an experienced Sr. IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level IT and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating projects from initiation through completion while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, governance standards, and established project management methodologies. This role requires exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills to successfully deliver high-impact projects across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including PMI/PMBOK, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
  • 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT or business transformation projects in a structured enterprise environment.
  • Strong background leading IT system implementations, enterprise applications, or data management projects.
  • Excellent experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across technical and business teams.
  • Extensive experience with risk management, issue tracking, change control, and project governance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide executive-level reporting and presentations.
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms.

  • Monitor project performance, track progress against milestones, and proactively identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, status updates, and executive reporting to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope changes through established change control processes while maintaining governance compliance.
  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure contractual deliverables are met when third-party resources are engaged.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, governance standards, procurement requirements, and project management best practices.
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and administrative activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including final deliverable acceptance, lessons learned, and project documentation.
