Job description

Summary   

As the IT Project Manager your primary responsibilities will include managing and overseeing all aspects of various technical projects, including software development, hardware deployments, network upgrades, information and data infrastructure systems, and security measurements. for the technical program management team.  The IT PM works with technical teams to build solutions to support systems, processes, reporting, and data required to run their business efficiently and effectively. The role is a liaison between technical staff and stakeholders to implement and maximize the use of mortgage and reporting systems. You’ll deliver strategic project implementations following the business and technical road maps, establish standards, and guide business, technical and vendor teams while partnering with Product, Security, and Operations teams. Owns project mapping and execution guardrails and approvals. You should have a solid understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and a problem-solving attitude in a mortgage technology business environment.

Compensation

Base salary: $ 105,000–$140,000 annually

Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)), PTO and paid holidays.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Mapping & Execution

.

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver detailed project plans, including timelines and key milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and reporting, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget constraints.
  • Act as a SME for project management processes and systems, and help drive improvements in process, documentation, tracking and implementation of enhancements to project systems.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure accurate and efficient task assignment, completion, and documentation.

Project Liaison between Operations and Technical Teams

  • Manage prioritization, communication and approval with stakeholders, providing updates on projects status, engaging user feedback, understanding and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Provide updates on strategic technology projects to management to deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, utilizing company project management systems and communication tools.

Release Coordination & Deployment

 

       •    Set release schedules and deployment notification processes, including but not limited to technical and software release information, reference materials and user guides, post implementation support and communications.

  • Manage scope changes, change-control boards, workflow processes, and technical team activities to maintain alignment with objectives.

Project Processes & Guardrails

  • Define and maintain internal and external project SLAs with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

Champion Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Be aware, knowledgeable, and research emerging technologies, as they pertain to technical solutioning tools in the mortgage project management space, in order to integrate new practices for better outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

       •    5 - 8+ years in technical project management success, from small to enterprise level implementation.

       •    Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced environment.

       •    Excellent written and verbal communication; able to drive task clarity, completion and decision-making with technical and operational stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

       •    Mortgage/financial services background: Both LOS and LSS, in and out source integrations process and systems management environments.

       •    Experience maturing SDLC, with service and project management application integrations for project management processes, including but not limited to Agile, waterfall, JIT, Kanban methodologies.

       •    Familiar with working within modern data platforms, MDM, and analytics enablement.

 

Education and/or Experience   

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Professional Project certification from accredited institution is a plus, especially with technical application.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
