Senior Financial Analyst

Our client in the Reading, PA area is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a contract role. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial close activities, forecasting, and performance analysis, with a strong focus on sales-related reporting. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and IT to deliver accurate reporting, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide actionable insights that support business decision-making across the Americas region.


Responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst

  • Lead and support the monthly close process, including reconciliation, validation, and analysis of sales and financial results
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance sales and expense data repositories to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare and distribute recurring sales and financial reporting to business stakeholders
  • Manage rebate and commission reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, including calculation validation and payment processing
  • Ensure all rebate and commission activities comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and established corporate policies
  • Perform predictive and trend-based analysis related to Sales and Marketing incentive programs
  • Partner cross‑functionally with business leaders and IT teams to implement, improve, and automate reporting processes and tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce)
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and business support as required


Skills/Qualifications of Senior Financial Analyst

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 6+years of progressive financial analysis experience, including hands‑on support of month‑end close activities
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements, including SOX
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Salesforce, or other BI/reporting tools preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across finance, business, and IT teams
