About this Position

Responsible for accounts payable/receivable functions and support of the financial operations of Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Tasks and duties will vary depending on needs.

Employee must have ability to use Microsoft Office and other software applications, especially Word, Excel, Outlook; demonstrate a friendly, helpful attitude in all communications and interactions with students, faculty, staff, and the public; and must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.

Required Qualifications
  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Fin Ast - HS/GED and no experience.

    Fin Ast II - HS/GED and 1 year of related experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience. 

    Fin Ast Sr - HS/GED and 3 years of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience. 

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Excellent communication skills a must in order to interact professionally with clients, faculty, staff and students. Self-motivated with organizational leadership abilities to accomplish department objectives in a timely manner. Highly computer literate (MS Office experience). Confidentiality required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School/GED
  • Five years of related experience including customer service experience as well as previous university experience in financial or administrative type position.
