Inside Project Manager – Lead Vertical Electrical Infrastructure Builds


Job Overview:

  • Company: B&B Electric.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $130,000 to $180,000 (based on experience) per year plus Year-End Bonus.
  • Location: Fairbanks, AK (Onsite).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (40-60 hours per week).
  • Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, and Government Vertical Electrical.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Must obtain an Alaska Electrical License.


The Opportunity: You will serve as a high-impact leader within a growing team, managing complex electrical projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This role grants you the autonomy to oversee project budgets and logistics while building the critical infrastructure that powers Alaska.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Formulate precise project estimates and takeoffs using McCormick Estimating software to ensure bid accuracy.
  • Coordinate multi-phase vertical electrical projects to maintain strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Direct communication between clients, inspectors, and vendors to streamline project transparency and delivery.
  • Supervise material procurement processes to ensure field crews have the necessary resources without delay.
  • Interpret 2023 NEC requirements and project specifications to guarantee all installations meet high-quality standards.
  • Execute comprehensive project documentation and reporting to track progress and adjust resources in real-time.
  • Mentor field supervisors and junior team members to foster a culture of professional growth and accountability.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating and management experience within the electrical construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in managing electrical project budgets, personnel, and complex schedules.
  • Strong proficiency in reading project drawings and interpreting the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of project outcomes and work collaboratively with all levels of staff.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced technical proficiency specifically with McCormick Estimating software.
  • Possession of a current Electrical Administrator’s License.
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or government-funded infrastructure projects.
