Job description

Job Title: Sr. WellView Developer

Location: Houston, TX, Onsite

Responsibilities

WellView Domain & Technical Leadership

• Provide subject matter expertise on WellView architecture, data models, and operational workflows.

• Analyze existing WellView configurations, customizations, reports, integrations, and historical data repositories.

• Advise on drilling, completions, well operations, and well lifecycle management processes supported by WellView.


Migration Strategy & Architecture

• Define migration architecture and end-to-end technical roadmap.

• Lead source-to-target data mapping and transformation strategy.

• Identify data quality, cleansing, and reconciliation requirements.

• Design migration validation and cutover approaches.


Data Engineering & Snowflake

• Design and review data ingestion and migration frameworks into Snowflake.

• Define data models, staging layers, transformation rules, and governance controls.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Ensure optimal data performance, security, lineage, and auditability.


Integration & ETL Design

• Assess and redesign integrations between WellView and enterprise systems, including:

  • Production & Operations systems
  • Data Lakes / Data Platforms
  • Analytics & Reporting solutions

Testing & Validation

• Establish migration validation frameworks.

• Support reconciliation of well master, operations, survey, daily drilling, and historical data.

• Review testing outcomes and resolve data discrepancies.


Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business stakeholders, drilling engineers, data architects, product vendors, and implementation teams.

• Facilitate workshops to understand current-state architecture and target-state requirements.

• Provide technical governance and risk mitigation recommendations.


Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream applications.

• Strong expertise with WellView 10.x/Allex, data model, and operational workflows.

• Experience leading large-scale application modernization or data migration programs.

• Hands-on knowledge of:

  • Data Migration
  • Data Mapping & Transformation
  • ETL/ELT Frameworks
  • Data Quality & Reconciliation
  • API & System Integration Design

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
