About the job:

The Marketing & Communications Manager collaborates across the state on marketing and promoting system services.

This position requires strong leadership, discipline, teamwork, initiative, and commitment. The candidate will lead, formally and informally, MarComm teams, local leadership, and clinicians to support strategic marketing and communications efforts that drive volume and impact systemwide goals. The position requires a leader who is focused, driven, flexible and able to quickly adapt to environmental and organizational change while maintaining a positive attitude. The candidate must possess the ability to be strategic, creative, and proactive to identify and propose solutions and ideas. This position requires excellent judgment and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the essential functions below, which will positively impact Trinity Health/Mount Carmel's goals and overall results.

  • Primary marketing/communications leadership for the organization, including strategic vision for service lines, marketing and communications planning, etc.
  • Supervise team members and collaborate across the entire system to best promote the work of Mount Carmel.
  • Collaborates with other marketing and communications experts to coordinate high-quality, consistent messaging and integration of brand identity, style guide, brand platform, etc., across the system.
  • Elevate service lines via annual marketing and communications plans and budgets with a focus on stewardship while working closely with senior leaders to ensure focus on high-priority and high-volume service lines and initiatives.
  • Effectively manage a budget for contractors and maintain strong vendor and partner relationships.
  • Preview and capture feedback among affected service lines/parties before launching campaigns, including proactive participation with physicians, leaders and teams to gain insights.
  • Responsible for facilitating communication in the organization and community through proactive dissemination of information and working toward consistent messages.
  • Adheres to performance expectations and performs all defined services and related duties per the Mission, Vision and Values of Trinity Health/Mount Carmel.
  • An ongoing commitment to developing self and others specific to marketing and communications industry best practices, teamwork, leadership, and organizational commitment.
  • Gather market insights and competitor information to convey the overall situation to team members to collaborate on creative marketing and communications solutions.
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer service, including responsiveness and follow-through.
  • Partner with colleagues and providers to identify new opportunities to develop innovative activations and promote messages through all channels.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in leading marketing or communications in a fast-changing environment and a desire to learn marketing innovation techniques and platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, including rewriting, optimizing, and editing content from subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Some experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and email marketing programs (e.g., Salesforce) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree required plus at least five (5) years of marketing and/or communications leadership/experience.
