Job Title: Senior Database Administrator (Both Oracle and SQL)
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 Days Onsite: Monday & Friday)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Candidates must currently reside in Texas.
Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX.

Work Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST
Face to Face Interview
MAX RATE: $55/HR on W2
Hybrid schedule requiring onsite work every Monday and Friday.
No relocation candidates will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle and SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, data modeling, database migrations, disaster recovery, and Azure SQL. This position will work closely with application development teams in an Agile environment to design, optimize, and modernize enterprise database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL databases.
Design, implement, and maintain logical and physical database models.
Plan and execute Oracle-to-Azure SQL database migrations.
Convert Oracle Stored Procedures and Functions to Azure SQL.
Implement backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery solutions.
Monitor database health and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
Ensure database security, integrity, availability, and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of Database Administration experience.
8+ years of Oracle Database Administration.
8+ years of Microsoft SQL Server administration.
Extensive experience with relational database design and administration.
Strong database performance tuning and optimization skills.
Experience with database architecture, data modeling, and enterprise application design.
Experience creating technical and functional design documentation.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
Experience supporting multi-tier enterprise applications, SOA, or Microservices.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL.
Experience performing ETL into Azure SQL.
DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.
Git version control experience.
Java/J2EE application support experience.
Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, clustering, and replication.

Azure and/or DBA certifications.
