Job Description

Develops advanced BI applications using the MS BI stack including SSAS, SSIS, T-SQL/stored procedures

Analyzes and improves existing dashboards, reports and reporting systems

Analyzes and perform integrity checks data coming in from 3rd parties in flat file and other formats

Responsible for importing data from various sources and providing summary reports regarding data integrity, completeness, etc.

Works closely with the Enterprise and Solutions Architects team and provides technical design recommendations on the data mart structures which support analytical applications

Provides and owns the technical details for implementation and maturing of BI solutions

Works with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes, and translates them into functional and non-functional specifications for BI solutions

Identifies problem trends and corrective actions and documenting these through modification of existing best practices guidelines

Provides expertise and guidance to other developers in the use of the toolset

Requirements

BS Degree CS or MIS or equivalent experience in related roles

8+ years of experience delivering solutions utilizing the entire Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, etc.)

8+ years of experience with SQL Server/T-SQL programming in creation and optimization of stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions

8+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database development (TSQL) experience

Must be able to build Business Intelligence solutions in a collaborative, agile development environment

Knowledge of current Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net, and SharePoint desired

Working knowledge of Team Foundation Services 2012

Working knowledge of Share Point 2010 and Performance Point

Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions

Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment

Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping their management informed of project related issues

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of the business requirements and needs

Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly

Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred

Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
