Job description

Position:- BI Data Engineer

Remote

Working hours: PST, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Duties:

  • Project Leadership: Participate in Agile projects, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Data Architecture: Design and implement data warehouses, ETL processes, and dimensional models.
  • SQL Development: Create complex SQL queries, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and indexes.
  • Data Quality: Establish standards for data accuracy, completeness, and governance.
  • Analytics: Understand business processes (especially Managed Care), design data models, and support reporting.
  • Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, document solutions, and educate teams on best practices.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and influence team direction.

Required:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years in database development/administration OR 8+ years progressive experience.
  • Expertise in data architecture, ETL, and BI solutions.
  • Preferably, healthcare domain experience.
  • Advanced SQL, data modeling, ETL tools, BI platforms, DevOps practices.
  • Valid driver’s license; up to 10% travel.
