Job description

For 30 years, SQA Services has been a premier leader in providing managed supplier quality services for audits, assessments, remote surveillance assessments, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering to manufacturers within all industries. We deliver services by deploying associates who are located throughout the United States and in 90+ countries around the world to your supplier sites. Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with broad experience and local knowledge who can represent our clients on-demand and on-site faster than our competitors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client root-cause analyses and containment strategies for adequacy and rigor; disposition each as adequate, needs strengthening, or requires re-analysis.

  • Prioritize the corrective-action portfolio by customer impact, Boeing due date, and recurrence/severity risk; maintain a prioritized RCCA register that drives the working cadence.

  • Lead failure-mechanism analysis using SQA’s proprietary RCCA methodology and toolset; confirm root and contributing causes, identify controls over high-risk mechanisms, and assess the measurement system.

  • Develop sustainable corrective action plans with clear controls to determine effectiveness of the solution.

  • Responsible for clear communication to client and SQA leadership including upkeep of dashboard, due-date tracking, risk and blocker escalation, and weekly and monthly reporting.

  • Prepare and support customer corrective-action response packages (e.g., 8D via SQIS) and manage customer rejections and resubmittals through approval.

  • Capture analyses in the SQA RCCA toolset and export deliverables in the formats the client and customer require (Boeing 8D, STEPQ, Word, Excel, PDF).

  • Partner with client Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, and Document Control to advance actions while respecting client ownership of implementation, disposition, and customer status outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent quality-engineering experience.

  • Minimum 5 years in quality engineering or supplier quality within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated hands-on root-cause and corrective-action experience using structured methods (8D, 5-Why, fishbone/Ishikawa).

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and experience authoring and closing formal corrective actions to a major OEM customer.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent corrective actions to schedule.

  • Strong technical writing; able to produce audit-ready and customer-ready analyses and responses.

  • Able to work onsite at the client facility in Everett, WA, with travel to client site(s) as required.

SQA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is based on merit and qualifications and is not influenced by race, color, religion, gender, national origin, veteran status, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

This position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data and/or defense articles. As such, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for this role.
