Job Summary

As a Catering Logistics Driver (CLD), you are a professional responsible for the safe transit of Joe Coffee’s physical assets. This role requires navigating a Sprinter van through NYC, maintaining warehouse packing/unpacking standards and dynamically adjusting to unforeseen circumstances. You are the vital link between the warehouse and the field, ensuring that every piece of our valuable espresso equipment arrives safe and ready for service.


Key ResponsibilitiesProfessional Transit & Compliance
  • NYC Navigation: Execute safe and efficient deliveries across all five boroughs, maintaining a professional driving record and absolute compliance with NYC traffic laws & Joe Coffee Best Practice regulations
  • Fleet Stewardship: Perform daily safety checks and maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, acting as the primary guardian of the fleet.
  • Dispatch Compliance: Report directly to the CLAM for real-time routing, load-in timing, and logistical "Calls" throughout the day.
Equipment & Inventory Security
  • High-Value Handling: Responsible for the secure transport and treatment of sensitive espresso machines and peripheral gear, ability to lift at least 70lbs.
  • Packing Mastery: Pack and unpack events in strict compliance with Joe Coffee standards, to ensure 100% equipment readiness.
  • On-Site Delivery: Deliver equipment directly to venues, client contacts, or baristas, while always displaying a professional and hospitality-focused mindset.
Warehouse Standards
  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain the warehouse to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment that meets DOH standards.
  • Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for field emergencies, including equipment malfunctions or last-minute product needs.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Assist the Catering Assistant Logistics Manager with product counts and equipment maintenance to ensure every "kit" is complete and functional.

Catering Logistics - Chain of Command:
  • 1) Catering Logistics Manager (CLM): Oversees weekly schedules, inventory, equipment and fleet maintenance & repairs, as well as other warehouse standards.
  • 2) Catering Logistics Assistant Manager (CLAM): Dispatches logistical operations, makes primary calls on real-time logistical pivots and alterations, performs Air Traffic Control that synchronizes communication across departments.
  • 3) Catering Team Lead (CTL): Ensures smooth operation of events onsite, coordinates service staff, equipment load-ins and load-outs, communicates directly with the logistics team
  • 4) Catering Logistics Driver (CLD): this is where you fit in (responsibilities listed above)
  • 5) Catering Assistant (CLA): co-pilot to CLD, handles all communications while in the car, responsible for the same warehouse duties as CLD.
