Chesapeake Fire Protection is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to support our Foremen and Fitters on construction and retrofit projects. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
  • Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
  • Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
  • Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
  • Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma.
  • 0–2 years of experience.
  • Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer and email skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
The Job

This is an active, hands-on position requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces and changing weather conditions is required.
