General Manager - Premium Steakhouse Springfield, MO

About the Opportunity


We're seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our steakhouse in Springfield, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and building a strong team culture. We offer competitive compensation including base salary, performance bonuses, and equity participation in the business.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonus program

Key Responsibilities


Operations Management

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations ensuring consistent quality, service excellence, and profitability
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining quality


Financial Performance

  • Develop and manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial forecasts
  • Drive revenue growth through effective marketing, promotions, and guest experience initiatives
  • Control labor and food costs while maintaining service standards
  • Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to meet financial targets


Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Create and maintain a positive, professional work environment
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and guest-first service


Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives outstanding service and memorable dining experiences
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally

  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements


Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale/casual dining or steakhouse concepts
  • Proven track record of financial management and achieving revenue targets
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 20+ employees
  • Knowledge of food safety, alcohol service regulations, and labor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Serv-Safe certification (or ability to obtain)


Preferred:

  • Experience with steakhouse or fine dining operations
  • Familiarity with the Springfield market and local dining scene
  • Background in wine and beverage programs
  • POS system proficiency
