Water Truck Driver - Class A CDL

CPC Springfield, MO - Springfield, MO 65804

Capital Paving is seeking Class A CDL Water Truck Drivers for our commercial paving crews in the Springfield, MO area. The primary responsibility of this role is operating a water truck to support paving operations, including dust control, soil conditioning, and maintaining safe job site conditions. Successful candidates should have a Hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record. Prior experience in construction or water truck operation is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a water truck to support paving crews with dust control, compaction, and job site safety.
  • Safely load, transport, and distribute water as directed at job sites.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatcher, supervisors, and crew members.
  • Ensure a safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report to assigned job sites and complete daily work orders as required.
  • Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance checks on the truck and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate truck logs and time records.
  • Assist crew as needed when water truck operation is not required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience operating a water truck or driving in a construction environment preferred
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in active job sites
  • Must be punctual with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with crews and supervisors
  • Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
  • Willing to travel and work out of town when required
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
