Job description

Description

Community Services Institute (CSI) is searching for in-office Child Mental Health Therapists to join our behavioral/mental health team in Springfield. Our in-office Child Mental Health Therapists will provide client-centered therapy services to children via in-person modalities. Clinicians must be familiar with trauma-informed treatments for families facing systemic barriers and mental/behavioral health challenges. Clinicians are tasked with completing paperwork in a timely manner (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans) and will be supported for the administrative aspects of community mental health, including scheduling, training, and supervision. Applicant will be offered play therapy training.

About us:

CSI was one of the first outpatient community mental health clinics to offer home-based therapy to families facing barriers to mental health care. CSI's community outreach model started after long-term psychiatric hospitals were shut down in the 60's-70's and replaced with outpatient mental health services. For nearly four decades, CSI has remained dedicated to social justice and delivering therapy in accessible ways, regardless of a person's circumstance. CSI clinicians have the flexibility of a hybrid model, seeing clients virtually, in-office, and in community settings.

Requirements

  • Clinicians will provide psychotherapy and consultation to children ages 5-13.
  • Collaborate with CSI's psychiatry and Therapeutic Mentor program.
  • Complete assessments and develop goal-directed treatment plans
  • Evenings are required to accommodate clients' work and school schedules.
  • Maintain 22 billable therapy and consult hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree (60 credits minimum) in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • Eligible for LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • Bilingual, highly desirable (Spanish/English)
  • Culturally fluent
  • Massachusetts CANS certification required
