Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Spring Leaf Rehabilitation Center in Highland Park, New Jersey. This full-time position involves direct patient care, where you will evaluate, design, and administer treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, facilitating recovery through innovative therapeutic practices.

About the Organization

Spring Leaf Rehabilitation Center is a premier physical therapy facility owned and operated by experienced therapists who genuinely care about patient outcomes. Our mission is to provide exceptional rehabilitation services that empower our patients to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. We leverage a combination of expert knowledge, advanced techniques, and genuine compassion to create a warm and inviting environment, not only within our clinic but also throughout the community we serve.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Highland Park, NJ, our center provides a fully equipped rehabilitation environment where quality care is the cornerstone of our practice. The onsite setting allows our therapists to deliver personalized, hands-on treatment in a collaborative atmosphere with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. We prioritize a supportive workplace culture that promotes professional growth and patient-centered approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' physical therapy needs through comprehensive assessments, understanding their medical history and personal rehabilitation goals.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices to enhance functional recovery.
  • Provide rehabilitation services across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine, adapting to diverse patient requirements.
  • Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions at the clinic and, when necessary, coordinate home health therapies to tailor care to patient environments.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and best practices for maintaining physical health.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, complying with legal and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure a unified approach to recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse client base that includes adult and elderly patients recuperating from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and sports injuries. You will also extend your expertise to younger patients facing developmental challenges or sports-related injuries. Our commitment to personalized care allows you to foster meaningful connections with patients, ensuring they feel understood, supported, and motivated throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program is required.
  • Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent.
  • A valid New Jersey state license in Physical Therapy is essential.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their caregivers.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and word processing to maintain records and documentation.
Preferred Experience

At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in orthopedic and sports medicine therapy. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as dry needling or manual therapy techniques will be advantageous. A strong desire to keep abreast of the latest evidence-based practices and rehabilitation technologies will also set you apart in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Spring Leaf Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to an attractive salary, our compensation package includes:

  • Performance-based incentives that reward your commitment to care excellence.
  • Full reimbursement for local and national professional organization dues and license renewal fees to support your career development.
  • A range of fitness incentives, comprehensive insurance benefits, and an employee assistance program.
  • Paid parental leave, a robust 401(k) plan, profit-sharing opportunities, and a generous paid time off (PTO) package.
  • Discounts on various products and services to enhance your lifestyle outside of work.
