Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Poplar Spring Behavioral Health, LLC. This full-time role, primarily remote, offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments for clients presenting with a range of mental health concerns, ensuring a personalized therapeutic approach.
  • Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, integrating various therapeutic modalities.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and resilience.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting therapeutic strategies as necessary to enhance effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide holistic care and refer clients to additional resources when needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. A key aspect of your work will be to create a culturally sensitive space where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Your expertise will be vital in guiding them through their therapeutic journey, enhancing their self-awareness, and fostering stronger interpersonal connections.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Valid California LMFT license in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience providing therapy, preferably in a community health or clinic setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • A strong commitment to culturally competent care and the ability to connect with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Certification in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy is an asset.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy practices.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and support systems for mental health clients.
Compensation and Benefits
