Tollman Spring Company is seeking an experienced Spring Maker / Coiler Set‑Up Technician to support our precision spring manufacturing operations. This role focuses on setting up and running CNC and mechanical coiling machines to produce high‑quality compression springs.

This role focuses on setting up and running CNC and mechanical coiling machines to produce high‑quality compression springs.



Responsibilities



  • Set up and operate CNC/mechanical coilers (e.g., Torin, MEC and S&H).
  • Adjust tooling, guides, pitch tools, arbors, and feed systems to meet specifications.
  • Produce first‑piece samples and make fine‑tuning adjustments.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, load testers, and comparators.
  • Troubleshoot coil inconsistencies, wire feed issues, and tooling wear.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.


Qualifications



  • Minimum 3+ years of experience setting up and operating spring coiling machines.


Required Skills



  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of wire‑forming principles.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
