Business Administration Intern

Overhead Solutions Group is seeking a motivated Business Administration Intern to support our internal operations, human resources systems, task management processes, and day-to-day administrative needs. This is a great opportunity for a student majoring in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Operations, or a related field who wants hands-on experience learning how a growing professional services firm operates behind the scenes.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and excited to learn. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow with the organization and may be interested in a full-time opportunity after graduation.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & BambooHR Support

The intern will assist with maintaining and managing our BambooHR system for a small team of fewer than 10 employees. This portion of the role is expected to be approximately 10–20% of the position.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with onboarding new team members

Helping ensure offboarding steps are completed properly

Making sure employees complete and sign required documents, including employee handbooks and company policies

Maintaining personnel records and HR-related information in BambooHR

Tracking time-off records, employee updates, and performance review schedules

Assisting with reminders and follow-up related to performance reviews and HR tasks

Canopy Task Management Support

The intern will help manage our workflow and task management system, Canopy, to ensure projects and assignments are organized and up to date.

Responsibilities may include:

Setting up tasks and projects in Canopy

Assigning tasks to the appropriate team members

Monitoring upcoming deadlines

Following up with team members on outstanding assignments

Helping ensure workflows are accurate, complete, and timely

Assisting with updates to recurring task lists and internal processes

Identifying areas where task management processes can be improved

Administrative & Operations Support

The intern will also help with general internal operations to keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities may include:

Monitoring office supplies and helping ensure items are restocked as needed

Keeping track of basic office needs such as printer paper, trash bags, coffee, creamer, and other supplies

Assisting with internal meetings, scheduling, and communications

Helping organize documents, files, and internal resources

Supporting special projects related to HR, operations, workflow, or administration

Assisting with general administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related field

Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn

Comfortable communicating with team members and following up on tasks

Able to handle confidential information professionally

Comfortable using Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Gmail

Willing to learn BambooHR, Canopy, and other internal systems

Interested in learning how a professional services firm operates
