Job description

Paint line Operator

·       The job location is in Denver, NC.

·       The pay rate is 20.59 an hour plus 10% shift Differential

·       Temp to Perm

·       The hours are from 3:30 pm to Midnight- Monday thru Thursday

·       Must be available for OT and weekends


JOB SUMMARY

Set up and operate an electrostatic paint-spraying system to automatically spray paint uprights, beams, and various components of pallet racks and cable reel racks while following established practices, methods, and procedures.


ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have basic mechanical skills to make machine adjustments and repairs.
  • Must be able to learn how to use controls and computer settings to operate multiple machines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a good attendance record.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Attach various air and paint lines to the paint-spraying system and regulate the pressure as required. Adjust the spray guns for different configurations of parts. Synchronize the conveyor and spray-gun speeds to ensure acceptable quality. Monitor dials, pressure gauges, spray guns, and the drying oven. Stop the system as needed to change paint bells, feed tips, static tips, air valves, and other components.
  2. Set up barrels or pails of different paint colors. Check paint viscosity and add thinner as necessary. Purge and flush paint lines when changing colors. Follow the established schedule for equipment speeds based on the parts and paint being used. Monitor the injection of the curing catalyst and maintain the equipment used to reclaim solvents.
