Job description

Brown & Root is seeking qualified SPRAT or IRATA Level 1 and Level 2 Rope Access Insulators to perform industrial insulation activities utilizing rope access methods.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Remove, repair, fabricate, and install industrial insulation systems while working from rope access systems.
  • Perform insulation work on piping, vessels, equipment, and other industrial components.
  • Install and remove insulation jacketing and weatherproofing as required.
  • Safely establish and maintain rope access work positions in accordance with company and SPRAT/IRATA requirements.
  • Inspect and properly use assigned rope access and craft equipment.
  • Follow site safety requirements, permits, JSAs, and direction from Rope Access Level 3 supervision.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping, and material control.

Qualifications:
  • Current SPRAT or IRATA Level 1 or Level 2 certification.
  • Industrial insulation experience required.
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work at height.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Will require some independent decision making and ability to lead and direct a crew(s) in a safe and efficient manner. Typically will report to a manager.
