Job Summary/Description:

KCRG-TV9 is seeking an energetic host and producer to join our lifestyle program showcasing the best Eastern Iowa has to offer. From profiling businesses to the newest restaurants in town, you will be a tour guide for the audience and work with clients to help them showcase their products on-air and on digital platforms. This role requires high energy on-camera performance, strong interview skills, great organization and planning, as well as a creative and proactive approach to developing content.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Host a daily lifestyle show, presenting information live on-air.
- Interview show guests/clients both in-studio and on location
- Research, shoot, write, edit, and present stories on the air, including sponsored content
- Research shows topics and developing questions for guests
- Coordinate production elements, including video, graphics, and camera shots
- Closely work with the sales team on sponsored content
- Write and post videos to digital platforms in support of lifestyle programming
- Showcase content on social media to expand audience reach

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or another related field
- Experience as a host or on-air personality is a must.
- Experience shooting and editing video is a plus
- Must be familiar with social media best practices (Facebook/Twitter/TikTok/Instagram)
- Ability to produce content in the field independently
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Strong ad-libbing and interviewing skills
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills are a must
- A driver's license and a good driving record are required
- Ability to pay careful attention to detail while under pressure of deadlines
- Strong ability to find answers and solve problems
