OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Club Sports Social Media Intern
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus
PAY RATE: $16.50/hour
HOURS:
JOB SUMMARY:
Club Sports is looking for a creative, curious, and motivated student to join our team as a Communications & Content Creation Intern. In this role, you'll help tell the story of the St. Thomas Club Sports across our digital platforms.
You'll play an active role in highlighting how students see and connect with club sports. From highlighting upcoming events to showcasing student voices and game action!

What You'll Do
  • Create and curate engaging content (photos, videos, graphics, and captions) that highlights club sports!
  • Be comfortable on camera, whether hosting, interviewing students, or participating in short-form video content.
  • Attend club games at times to capture real-time content to showcase
  • Interview students, spotlight club teams
  • Design digital and print materials using tools like Canva, CapCut, Edits, etc.

Your work will directly shape how students experience and engage with club sports. You'll build a portfolio of real, impactful content while gaining hands-on experience in storytelling, strategy, and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Interest or experience in communications, marketing, social media, or digital storytelling.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Instagram and an awareness of trends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort engaging with peers, asking questions, and capturing authentic moments.
  • Creativity and initiative, you bring ideas, not just execution.
  • Ability to manage time, follow through, and work both independently and as part of a team.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
