Job description

Royal Caribbean is seeking an energetic and experienced Sports Manager to lead the onboard Sports & Fitness Program. This role is responsible for overseeing Sports Deck operations, supervising and developing Sports Staff, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering engaging recreational experiences that enhance guest satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate Sports Staff.
  • Manage daily schedules, assignments, and team performance.
  • Support recruitment, staffing, and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety, SQM, and USPH requirements.


Guest Experience & Activity Programming

  • Plan and host sports tournaments, competitions, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain a visible and engaging presence on the Sports Deck.
  • Collaborate with the Cruise Director to maximize guest participation and satisfaction.
  • Promote sports and fitness activities while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.


Events & Guest Engagement

  • Serve as MC or host for sports events, charters, promotional activities, theme nights, and special functions.
  • Participate in guest events and social functions to enhance the onboard experience.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and deliver exceptional customer service.


Operations & Administration

  • Manage inventories, equipment inspections, and maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare operational reports and related documentation.
  • Support revenue-generating initiatives and promotional activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, environmental, and safety policies.

  • We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and customer-focused leader with experience in sports, recreation, coaching, fitness, or activity management. The ideal candidate is energetic, enjoys working with diverse groups of people, and has a strong passion for creating engaging and memorable experiences. Candidates with backgrounds in basketball, football/soccer, volleyball, tennis, multi-sport recreational programs, or other team sports are encouraged to apply.
