Job description

JV Volleyball Coach

Description:

  1. Plans and implements organized daily practice plans, which include time for group and individual instruction.
  2. Works cooperatively with coaching assistants, athletic director, trainer, and building administration.
  3. Adapts and modifies coaching techniques, strategies, and game plans.
  4. Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
  5. Helps maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
  6. Promotes and maintains positive public relations with parents and the community.
  7. Provides atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship and player conduct.
  8. Prepares for each game in strategy and player motivation.
  9. Helps oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
  10. Helps establish performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in his/her sport in accordance with state and district standards.
  11. Represents the school and school district in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of high school diploma or GED.
  2. Must be CPR/AED Certified
  3. Demonstrates interest in the aptitude for performing coaching duties for a specific sport or sports.
  4. Satisfactory Criminal Background Check, TB test and Child Protection Registry clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.ย
