Position Summary

As a Senior Benefits Analyst for the Corporate benefits team, this individual will conduct operational and financial audits and analysis of the U.S. benefit programs for Oak View Group. Key responsibilities include the reconciliation and analysis of benefit vendor invoices and payments to annual budget, reconciliation of premiums collected to expected budget, analysis of claims activity against the budget and enrollment projections for corporate level planning and forecasting, timely and accurate benefit financial reporting for internal and external use, and supporting cross-functional teams' requests as needed. Additional responsibilities will include direct involvement with the annual planning and monthly forecasting process to tie benefit budget estimates to actual plan activity.

This role pays an annual salary of $85,000-$115,000.

Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

This position will remain open until October 2, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasted reports including claims summaries by region and/or pay group.
  • Interact with Vendors, Finance leadership, Accounting Manager, Payroll leadership, and CFO as needed to respond to inquiries regarding claims trends and benefits budget performance.
  • Monitor claims trends and identify key performance indicators to analyze claims by pay group on a quarterly basis for presentation to Finance team.
  • Assist in the management and evaluation of monthly and quarterly budget reconciliation analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain budget vs actual claims reports for the senior management team to use as a tool in identifying and focusing on opportunities and risks of immediate and/or future concern.
  • Analyze IBNR and HCC reporting to monitor impact to reserve and/or stop loss.
  • Process vendor payment requests for all benefit vendors and track to monthly invoice reports and budget expectations.
  • Audit vendor billing to enrollment reports for accuracy.
  • Update reporting templates and functionality as necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.
  • Assume responsibilities on special projects as identified.
  • Assist with annual budget, long range planning and design process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Human Resources or related field required.
  • 4+ years of financial analyst experience. 
  • Experience working with benefits claims data preferred.
  • Proficient experience in finance, accounting, contracts, budgets and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting systems.
  • Proven experience with analysis of claims data and preparation of financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and HiTech requirements, as well as ERISA requirements for benefit plans preferred.
  • Highest level of integrity, honesty to report to executives in an open and unbiased manner.
  • Strong intellectual capacity, critical and analytical thinker.
  • Possesses a fact-based approach to the analysis of business problems and opportunities.
  • Displays executive presence, seasoning and maturity.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with ability to present financial information in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail.
  • Expert systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel skills, as well as other Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Experience in accounting/financial reporting systems such as Coupa, Oracle and Net Suite are strongly preferred.
