Job description

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Wind Sports Retail Shift Lead to join our dynamic team! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store operations, lead a team of sales associates, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal team performance
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product knowledge, technical questions, and sales inquiries
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to create an appealing store layout that highlights wind sports gear and accessories
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, pricing accuracy, and store bookkeeping to maintain financial integrity
  • Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills
  • Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage vendor relationships to ensure product availability and competitive pricing
  • Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and brand visibility within the community

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED: Wind sports experience (wingfoil, parawing, kiteboard, SUP foil, or dock/pump/wake foil preferred)
  • REQUIRED: Knowledge of wind sports equipment
  • Attention to detail: Describe your wind sports experience in your application
  • Proven management experience in retail sales or store supervision, preferably within sports or outdoor gear environments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and technology in general
  • Experience with employee orientation, and training & development processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail is preferred
  • 40wpm+ typing speed preferred
