Sports Medicine Physician (Outpatient) - New York, NY

Full-Time $250,000 - $400,000 New Graduates Welcome

A growing outpatient private practice in New York City is seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join a collaborative, patient-focused team. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, fellows, or experienced physicians interested in non-surgical sports and musculoskeletal care, with strong mentorship and long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions

  • Perform outpatient procedures such as:

    • Joint & soft tissue injections (corticosteroid, PRP, viscosupplementation if trained)

    • Trigger point injections

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapy and care teams

  • Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe return-to-activity

  • Maintain accurate documentation using EMR

  • Collaborate with referring providers and allied health professionals

  • Optional coverage of local athletic events (if interested)

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in:

    • Sports Medicine (Primary Care Sports Medicine preferred), or

    • Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or PM&R with Sports Medicine training

  • Eligible for or active New York State medical license

  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Interest in outpatient, non-surgical sports medicine

  • New graduates welcome
