Job description

This position is located at .DLA Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Must live within 100 miles / 2 hours of DLA Fort Belvoir once accepting position.

Qualifications:Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
  • Experience that demonstrated the ability to apply the principles of sports, fitness and aquatics.
  • Experience in planning and administering sports, fitness and aquatics program.
  • Experience in a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, school or college; or planning, teaching, or evaluating a physical education curriculum for a secondary or higher academic level. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade.
  • Ability to make decisions IAW Army and DOD policies.
  • Ability to generate and maintain effective relationships with outside agencies.
  • Strong communication skills required. Ability to write various staff office documents.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc., required.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Possess 3 years of sports management experience.
  • Possesses 3 years of MWR fitness experience.

Experience MUST be reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered for Standard and/or Highly Qualified for this position. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants may be referred for consideration at managements request.Education:This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
