AOSM is looking for a full or part time Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant:

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:


•Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
•Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
•Assesses abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results.
•Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
•Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.

AOSM is a busy, well-respected, 6 physician and 4 mid-level provider, orthopedic surgery practice with in-house MRI and physical therapy services. Practice has two locations in Dalton and one location in Calhoun, GA. Practice was established in 1995 and has 2 Sports Medicine Fellowship trained , 1 Orthopedic Spine Fellowship trained, 1 Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship trained, and 2 General Orthopedic trained physicians. The physical therapy department is currently staffed by three full-time physical therapists, and two full-time physical therapy assistants. AOSM utilizes a robust Practice Management and EMR solution for fast and easy management of patient records and accounts.
